1. What types of boats do you have at Battersea Park?

 

We offer pedal boats and row boats for hire.

2. Do I need any prior boating experience to hire a boat?

 

No, you don't need any prior experience. We'll provide a brief safety and operational tutorial before you set off.

​

3. Are life jackets provided? Absolutely!

 

We provide life jackets for all our guests should they require it and under 12s must wear them, this is mandatory whilst on the boat.

4. How long can I hire a boat for?

 

Boat hires are available for periods ranging from 30 minutes up to an hour.

5. Can I bring food and drinks onto the boat?

 

You're welcome to bring your own food, but please be mindful and avoid leaving behind any rubbish on the boats. Also, please note that alcohol is not permitted on any of our boats. We reserve the right not to sell a ticket to any customer who we will believe is under the influence and where selling the ticket would compromise your and our employees safety

6. Is there an age limit for using the boats?

 

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult on the boats.

7. Do I need to book in advance?

 

No bookings are required! Boats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

8. Are pets allowed on the boats?

 

We're sorry, whilst animal lovers ourselves, pets are not allowed on our boats, this is for the safety of all on the lake including the animals! We understand that guide dogs are required by some customers for support. However, while we cannot allow them on our boats due to safety considerations. Because of this we will offer a place for guide dogs to sit or take a nap in our boathouse while you set sail. We endeavour to be accessible to all our valued boat customers and have developed this policy in conjunction with the British Guide Dog association, for any questions and concerns please contact Pete on 07801880125.

9. Are there any additional fees or deposits?

 

There might be a security deposit for some hires, which will be fully refunded upon the safe return of the boat. Any additional fees will be communicated when you arrive.

10. What safety measures are in place?

 

All our boats are Pioner trios, the most stable and safe pedal boats on the market, Our team is trained in first aid and water rescue and they are always on hand to assist during operating hours.
